ABOUT ME

I recently asked some friends how they would describe me.

“Enigmatic. Enticing. Bubbly. Compelling.

“Like a Nordic Mona Lisa, what is she smiling about, and what’s that glint in her eye?”

(I am not sure what that means either, but, whatever).

So let me just introduce myself… my name is Candy Fox (yes, that’s my real name) and I am from the Jersey Shore (no, not that Jersey Shore). I am a proud woman of her Swedish roots (on my mama’s side). I love cats (and animals in general), music, can recite pretty much every episode of The Golden Girls, consider myself a gangsta Barbie and of course – love performing, writing and directing. Folks, I can do it ALL- comedy, drama, improv, singing.

I have performed in 40+ stage productions (and for more Senior Sunday matinee groups that you can shake a fist at), numerous film projects and have trained at Lee Strasberg, MN Acting Studio, Upright Citizens Brigade and Atlantic Acting School. So you know I got the goods.

In addition, I am a content creating fool. Some of my favorite projects include my short comedy film, ‘Showbiz Cat’ which I wrote, directed and starred in. Oh – and if you are looking for a few minutes of absolute hilarity to spice up your day, I highly encourage you to go check it out at Showbizcat.com.  In addition, my fun and funny short play ‘Cherry the Babysitter’ has been performed on stage both in NYC & NJ.  Up next for 2020 - my next film, ‘Killer Fitness’ that I wrote and will direct and star in. It’s a cutthroat gym where clients get fit - or die trying.

But seriously – reliability, hard work, consistency and gratitude are the name of my game.  They are the most important tools in my kit.  I appreciate and am grateful anytime I have the opportunity to do what I love.
